Jumpstarting, Air Compression and DC Power All in One
The Schumacher IP-95C is a combination DC powered Jump Starter, Air Compressor and external 12-volt power source, that goes wherever you do. Built around a powerful 12-volt, 9Ah, AGM battery, the IP-95C generates 650 peak Amps which can funneled into the onboard jumpstarter rated at 170A 5 seconds. Jumpstarting events utilize a convenient on/off switch at the front of the unit, as well as two 18" battery leads that wrap out of the way when not in use. In addition, the unit's charge can also be used to power all manner of DC powered devices via the unit's 12 Volt DC outlet and a user-supplied DC power adapter. The IP-95C also possesses a 150 psi air compressor capable of up to 10 minutes of use at a time, and also a USB port suitable for charging popular handheld devices.
Safety and Convenience of Maintenance Mode Charging
External 12-volt power sources are a must-have accessory for any driver who spends a decent amount of time on the road, but like any battery-based tool, for all their uses they are only as good as the charge they carry when you need them. For this reason most require an ongoing schedule of monitoring and recharging by owners in order to maintain a proper charge without damaging the internal battery, but the Schumacher IP-95C is different. Its built-in charger, fed by an extension cord (sold separately) features Maintenance Mode charging. Maintenance Mode charging is a smart charging cycle that initially charges your battery at an efficiently high rate up to a preset level, at which point charging ceases. When the battery eventually drops below this level again, another less powerful charging cycle begins that is just powerful enough to raise the battery back to the preset optimal charge level. This smart charging does not pose a risk of overcharging, and so enables you to leave your Schumacher IP-95C plugged in all the time. It will always be ready when you toss it in the car and go.

I bought this product Schumacher IP-95C Jump Starter and I am totatly disapointed with it. It has failed everytime to jump start any vehicle with dead battery. Before I purchased this, I was stranded on the Lake with a dead battery and I was introduced to this type of compact jump starter when someone offered to help. They had a Duralast brand and it jump started my V-8 boat with no problem. I was stupid and went with what I thought was a much better brand. No Way I am stuck with this piece of crap and absolutely no support from Schumacher. They would not even let me pay the difference to upgrade to higher amp hour unit. Their ridiculous response was that these units are not designed to start dead batteries? The only way I can interpret this is this unit will only work if your battery is still turning your starter. What good does this do if your battery is not turning starterThis unit will do nothing if you are getting a click click click from your starter. The biggest joke yet was the fact that this unit would not even start my motorcycle when I tried conecting to my battery. Much smaller battery than car or boat Thank you for taking the time to read my review. Any suggestions, help or responses to my review would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, RICH4120

This charger is the second one we have owned. We shopped around and read reviews and found this one to be the best bargain. When we received it, we charged it and used it to pump up a tire and start the engine of our riding mower. It performed great. I would recommend this product to anyone that needs a top quality charger.
